Quick question on boosted d16z6
I was just wondering if it would be more reliable and or make more power if I would stay with stock compression and run lower lbs. of boost with possibly a smaller/different turbo, rather than running more lbs. with vitaras and lower compression and having the turbo spool at a later rpm.. what would be more reliable and what would make more power and is it worth it to sacrifise some power for reliability? I would plan to run 17lbs with vitaras with a t3 .42compressor .48turbine with 8.7:1 compression, or if I got with stock compression I would probably run 10lbs with a t25
also; could these turbos provide that kind of boost?
I want and hope to make 275whp+ if anyone could suggest a better set up what would it be.. also I dont want to spend a fourtune on this, but still want to make some decent power

that small t3 will max out real quick at 250 or so hp. if your going to build the motor go with a t3/to4e, if you want quicker spool and have the stock redline you might want to consider a .48 hot side. for example i will be running a t3/to4e 60/.48. on a d16y8; also that small t3 will die out uptop real fast.
I dont want to spend a ton of money on the turbo.. thats why I was looking at the t3's.. I don think I could afford a GT30R, so what would you recomend for around $250-$300, or less...
also, I bought the block with no pistons or rods.. would I be better off going with vitara's and running more boost or couldnt they handle it, are they any better/worse that stock pistons as far as how much heat/boost they can take?
Edit: If I was to minorly build the block with Eagle or Tuner Toy rods, with vitara's and a block gaurd, could I use the bottom end to its full potential without major head work?

BUMP, need to know ASAP!! what about a t3 super 60, .48 turbine .60 cold side 60 trim around what rpm would that spool at, and can the internal wastegate be removed. is one with shaft play worth $115, I could get a rebuild kit for $80ish.. is that a good price?
