Default p28 ecu in a lx

I've got a 95 civic lx with a p28 from research I should have a p06. the only problem is the check engine light is on the I checked the codes and got a 21 which is a vtec thing and the lx isn't equiped with that engine. so should I just live witht the light or change it back to the original?

You should have a p06 like I do in my LX in order for it to run right. Always try to match motor to ecu. D15b7=p06

p28 is a ecu for an engine with vtec.

basically since u have an lx you should have a p06, you dont have vtec so you will get that CEL. what you should do, is swap a d16z6 in and you will be set

or get a p06
