ek/gsr swap engine harness question
i'm currenty going to swap a complete 97 gsr into my 96 cx hatchback. would it be easier to use the 97 gsr engine wire harness or just use my stock one? i don't feel like getting an ex one though..

so it'll be better/easier to use the gsr harness?

I would like to know if that will work though? I was "told" it was easier to modify my existing wiring harness and switch to OBD1.
Now, I'd like to keep the car legal and go back to OBD2, but the stock harness has already been modified and it won't work.
So, if you get that to work w/ a GSR swap, let me know because I'll source one in a minute.

will a gsr harness even hook up in a ek, i don't think so. better off just doing the stock harness mod. wiring diagrams around here like wow. its not too hard.
you can not use a integra harness OBD1 or OBD2 on a 96-00 civic they both mount up completely different. the integra harnesses end at the passanger side shock tower just like 92-95 civics. 96-00 civics there wire harnesses go all the way to the ECU through the fire wall. the best Harness to use on a NON VTEC civic body is a 96-98 EX harness and for 99-00 a 99-00 civic si harness works the best.
So Vic (integraduo) if you want to go back to OBD2 just buy the 96-98 Ex harness and get a OBD2 alt. b/c i used an OBD1,thats all you would have to change.

reuse your wiring harness or buy an obd2a,b engine harness depending on what year is the car. The gsr engine harness wont work with your ek

you cannot use a 99-00 civic si engine harness cuz you have a 96 civic. better off with a 96-98 ex engine harness
