Who is an obd0 integra engine expert here?

Ok I have an obd0 (i think its obd0 right) 92-93 integra gsr engine (b17a1). I am trying to hookup an oilcatchcan but there is some mystery sensor in the port that is *supposed* to be used to evac. crankcase gasses in bseries engines.

That looks like the sensor that acura told me was a "cold start sensor". I just helped with a b18a to b18b swap in a DA and we had to move it from the back of the block beside the oil pressure switch to the water neck. Hope that helps.

so that sensor sees coolant? I read on the "Official PCV Thread" it can be used for crankcase blowby evac on ALL bseries engines.
Did they make ssome drastic design change to the water system or something?

I just looked up what the sensor was on the official honda/acura parts site.
It is the thermo sensor (a-108) part number 37773-PR4-A01
I have no idea what this does, but that's definitely the one.
This is a b17 block right. Cause I got the diagram for the 93 GSR motor, so this should be the one.

yup its some type of thermo sensor. I think it has to do with oil since the sensor was covered in oil when i pulled it out...
Yeah its a b17 block. Wonder what the function of the sensor is? It seems like there wouldnt be that much solid oil that high up on the block, making it a weird place for an oil temp sensor...

You'd be suprised to see how much oil comes out if you were to remove the breather chamber with the engine running! The bolt that held mine to the block vibrated loose, and came out, and I guess the pressure pushed the breather chamber off the block, so it was hanging by the hoses. I had just finished racing my friend, when we pulled up at the next red light, he saw oil dripping onto the road, so I pulled over to look, and the oil was dripping pretty steadily. It lost about a quart in the two miles it took to get back to my house! So theres plenty of oil that high up!
Well with the stock breather chamber installed, all that should vent out is blow-by. The breather chamber actually separates the oil from the blowby, even though the blowby has oil in it, which is the purpose of your catch can.
Since all 92-93 GS-R were equipped with A/C that temp switch is for the condenser fan. I would NOT use that port in the block to mount a catch can. That switch needs pressurized oil around it at all times so you need to plug it.
Yes, and it is the fan that can run after the car is turned off. I've read the Cooling section of the helms manual like 50 times in the past two weeks trying to solve my own problem.

i believe the oil pressure one is the one with the nipple connection.

yes its to the oil sending unit, no you wont get oil warning lights, when i swapped the b18a into my CRX that thing was NEVER hooked up and i was running a PR4 ECU with no problems

is obd1 wich started in 92. the sensor your talking about is the oil temp sensor, it activates the the radiators fans if the oil gets to hot. if you want you can jump the to wires with the gar running and you can see them come on. i didnt know hondas had COLD START SYSTEM!!!!!!!
this is the sensor that makes your fans come on for no suppously for no reason when you get out of your car. when this happends check your cooling system cause this usually happends when the car overheats really bad
It only controls the condenser fan, since the 92 GS-R has A/C.
