Displacement is fun... mid to high 11s seems to be the limit for stock B16s. I'm sure a GSR could crush that if it had some gearing to play with. Both on stock S1 transmissions they're both going to be speed limited rather than power limited... on 22" slicks my problem is running out of gear; 8800 rpm across the traps in 4th. Depends of course on how you run it. I run race gas and higher boost at the track; if you're determined to run pump and street tires, the GSR turbo will likely be faster if it can hook.

Displacement is fun IF you can get traction.

EDIT: answer to your question... Its worth it if you have it laying around. I say throw it in there and have fun.

i had a stock b16 w/ a drag kit making 240whp. it ran 13.4@106mph on falken azenis and ran 12.9 w 20" slicks.

i had this set up for about 2 years beating on it everywhere. numerous dyno pulls (test vehicle) and numerous drag strip passes. It was a very fun set up.

Very worth it IMO. The stock B16 can make great power and has a great transmission. Like stated aboove, you can get into the 11's w/ one in stock form very easily and if topping out (MPH wise) becomes a problem, Get taller slicks

Yes, the B16 is worth it. Especially if you already have one. If you look at the boosted numbers of stock B18c1's and B16's you'll see they are about the same, you'll just have a the cheaper setup with better tranny with the B16.

Definitely worth it. Considering its great rod to stroke ratio, I woud definitely take advantage of its high revs + boost.

I agree. Definetly worth it.

I have had 3 turbo setups, 2 with stock blocks, and 1 with a built motor. From my stand point, I will never go back to a built block. The car is just more fun to drive, and can acheive great power on a stock block. KISS.

I'm doing a homemade topmount mani, with a BB SC61 setup on my B16. This will be my 4th setup.
