Proportioning valve installation
Where exactly does the proportioning valve go on a 92-00 civic? I have a friend who has everything for a gsr brake conversion, but I only know how to put on the front brakes. I searched, and some people said that for the rear, you will need to use a new proportioning valve, and remove the entire trailing arm, that's cool,
But if you don't use the GSR master cylinder and brake booster, will you have problems later on?

the prop valve is located on the firewall near the center of the car with a bunch of grey hard lines going to it (I think 6?)
As for the BB/MC just swap in a 91 Civic Ex MC with your stock BB and you're straight

What do you mean?

I mean, there will be enough hydraulic pressure using the stock civic Master cylinder, Brake booster, and proportioning valve to make the bigger GSR brakes function properly?

Those people are hillbillies. The brakes will still work, but won't be braking even close to its potential. Besides, that's just begging for something to fail. I can handle some parts failing on me, but brakes are not in that category.

To get more hydraulic pressure you'll need a larger MC. The only reason the BB is needed is because the larger MC's won't bolt out to the stock booster (except for the 88-91 ex). Hope that helps a little.

When I swapped my rear drums to disc on my 99 EX I just swapped the porp valve. The M/C on the EX is the same as the SI's so I didnt need it.
