Speedo doesnt work all the time Please help

Default Speedo doesnt work all the time Please help

my speedo on my on my 95 honda civic hatch back doesnt work all the time. I have replaced the cluster and the speed sensor and gear. Please help

Make sure none of the running wires are frayed or exposed.

the vss. or the vehicle speed sensor.

when i got my car i had the same issue, but i had to replace the cluster.

not exactly sure what its called but when i had my '89 civic hatch my speedo wouldnt work and it was because the wire wasnt connected all the way to my transmission and i just needed to push it in more

When mine started to flake out I had to replace the cluster. Its really common on hondas for the cluster and the vss to go bad. In that its possible the ones you bough were bad also. Take it to a shop and have the read the output signal on the VSS. If its strong move on. Buying something used doesnt always mean it will work.
