need help with the wiring
I got a 96 civic ex not to long ago... the only thing wrong wit it was that the speedometer did not work. At first i thought it was just the speed sensor. I replaced it with a new one. That was not the problem. then i noticed that the perosn that owned the car had taken out the cruise control and did some kind of half assed job with the wiring. there are 3 wires where the plug of the speed sensor is that are spliced and crimped. can someone tell me how to get my speedometer working.
Oh... btw.... i did some fooling around with the wires and the needle jumps for a sec and then stops working so it is not the cluster

should be one wire from vss(vehicle speed sensor) to your cluster. if anything you can run the wire str8 from the sensor to the vss wire on the back of ur cluster. That's a fool proof way to test it.. if it still doesn't work then u may have a bad cluster.. which i've seen before.
