Well w/o stating the obvious, that being the name of the post lol... I'm about to light my car on fire with furiosity...!!! I've searched, searched, smoke a blunt, drank a corona, an searched some more... and cant find for the life of me a way to remove my wheel hub.. When I grab my wheel at 12 an 6 an move it, there is a little bit of play, which im forced to believe is the reason why when I press my brakes at around 50mph my steering wheel shakes vigourisly back an forth "bad wheel bearing"... I'm aware that I'm gonna need the new bearing pressed into the hub w/ a machine, but how the hell do i take this thing off in the first place..!!!! I've hammered an banged an hammered some more from the behind of it, but cant get the damn thing off... I've removed the whole brake system from its former location, an c/v axle 1-1/4" nut an everything... What is stopping this god forsaken CD sized peice of metal from coming off..!! Thanks....

take the axle nut off, rotors, caiper, etc off... go rent a slide hammer from autozone and it will be off in 2 seconds.. dont forget to rent the flange for the slide hammer also.

its only $35 for both. and you get it back when you take the tools back. so its free.
when you go in there to ask for the slide hammer and slide hammer flange, they are going to give you a wierd look and say they dont have the flange. thats because although on their website its called "slide hammer flange" in the store its called something like "axle puller". so youll have to point them both out to what you want on their little place mat thing that shows you all the tools they rent.

yea if you dont feel comfortable pressing it in yourself then pay someone to press it in. tighten the axle nut down to press the hub back in..

When I had to pull the hub to replace wheel studs, I pulled the entire hub and knuckle out of the car, then put it on a press to get the hub out of the knuckle. Then I put the new hub back in with the same press.
Do you mean that you can't get the hub out while the knuckle is still on the car? I don't think you can do it that way... At least I couldn't see how.

yes.. you can. you did it the hard way..
if you read above, you need a slide hammer. if you knew what that is, then you would know how it would work. and then you just press the hub back on by tightening the axle nut..
