what the hell is going on here.. i need help
o.k i got my zc in and trany working took it for my first ride...so far i have these problems.. it has no power it`s like i`m in 5 gear all the time i have to take it to 5500 rpm`s just to shift gears.. next problem is my catalytic converter get`s red hot i mean like lite a smoke off it .. all i did is run around the block and the thing was glowing red hot you could see it from a mile the temp was just strating to move up .....so i don`t know WTF there and it still backfires only onceand a while under load timing doesn`t seem to help.... can anyone help me out here... oh and it seem to be going though gas bad..
Yep, cat is definatly clogged. Your motor is being choked like a ****. If your neighbors wont call the police, you might want to try a quick run around the block with open headers. Jack it up and pull the cat.
o.k but it was running with the old motor.... why now?.. like i change the motor first thing my cat cloged.. i`m not saying your wrong.. i`ll look at it tomorrow but what the hell..
well i pulled the cat off...ran with open header helped a little.. but still has no power like it rev`s up good but soon as i put it under power it`s like i`m takeing off in 3rd it has no bottom end.. it cant spin the tires in a little snow..and still backfires on take off i`m thinking vacuum advance but where is it and how does it work on these motor`s ...i`m use to the old v8 thats just gas... spark to make`m run
No vacuum advance on your car at all, its controlled by the computer.
Its really hard to diagnose exactly whats wrong with your car without actually seeing it in person
Did you put a new timing belt on? timing is possibly off. A lot of people make the mistake of using the ignition timing marks instead of the tdc mark with installing a new belt.
Could be a stuck injector, etc. Pull all the plugs and see if any of em as soaked.
Check those few things and let me know. Also, any more info would help greatly.

no new belt the plug look ok. there rich but not soaked.i`m just trying to get it running right before i start to change belts pulgs and so on ... i`m takeing in to a shop to see what they can find... it will cost but what hell i have had it..this was a easy swap they said ... ya right ! it coast me more headakes than i could deam of. and it`s not like i don`t know the differance between a 7/16 bolt and a 5/8s or in this case 10mm to 14mm ... **** i hope this works out

Almost forgot to ask, is the check engine light coming on at all? If it is, pull up the carpet on the passengers side footwell to find the ecu. Look for a red LED, and just count the number of blinks. Compare that with the chart here:http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/tech/codes.html

well it` cost me $20 but now i have it. now it`s running good the problem um....um well you see i kinda had the plug wires on wrong....but wait ... i thought the distributer turned the other way so it was only running on2 cyl`s...man do i feel like a dumbass.. sorry for all the trouble but i was over thinking the problem.. need to slow down and think some times thanx for any help
