Default ITR 2nd gear problem

Hi i have an ITR 96 and 2 months ago I changed the the third gear syncro and exedy organic clutch and pressure plate and filled gear box with honda gear oil. Now i have a problem when i shift from first gear to second gear on high revs without taking my foot of the gas pedal sometimes the gear won't go in. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem. 10x guys

mine was doing that almost everytime it was up near redline.

Solution: did what alot of people do... Put in the GM Synchromesh fluid. All grinds gone 100 % and it doesnt do that crap of refusing to go into gear anymore either.

Man, I would say just take your foot off the gas. You just changed one syncro/clutch, you're going to it all over again if you keep that up. Even on the track I've never felt a need to shift like that. Good luck with finding a better answer.

Yeah that. Flat-changing doesn't help you go significantly faster. You only need to lift the throttle for a split second anyway, if you shift well.

werd....when you shift gears, your rpm's will drop down to match with the next gear. it only makes sense to lift off the gas. if you think lifting off the gas makes your rpm drop down too low, then you need to shift faster.

Learn how to shift properly and you'll stop destroying your syncros.

Why? Because it's the truth?

Are you still having problems learning how to shift properly?

Don't try to say that you have too much hp for the stock transmission to handle either. A stock transmission can withstand 10 second passes.
