There has got to be at least one "idle" post per day in here.

Try setting your base idle.

1.Warm the car up completely.
2.Disconnect the IACV
3.Using the idle speed screw (top left of throttle body when viewed from the passenger side of the engine bay) Turning it in slows the idle. Out raises it.
It shoul dbe set to 500-550 RPM.
4.Plug back in the IACV.
5.Shut down and restart the car to clear the IACV code.
It should idle fine if that was the problem.

im confused if you are driving than how is the car ideling, if its just idleing after 15 min and the idle goes up and down than its the IACV, try taking it off the intake mani and cleaning out the screne in it, that fixed my idle

if ur keeping the gas steady while ur driving then ur not idling. driving means no more idling. so if u mean ur RPMs keep going up and down and ur engine is revving up on its own during idle then i have dealt with a similar situation.

my homegirls civic had this problem. i checked everything like everyone has stated above and it didnt fix it. i also checked stuff like spark plugs, spark plug wires etc. try cleaning the throttle plate. just get some carburetor cleaner and wipe the inside of the plate with a rag thats soaked with it (ur gonna have to pull the throttle plate by hand).

none of that fixed it.

now comes the weird part. while i was trying to figure out what was wrong with her car i noticed she could use some coolant in her radiator. i filled that up and BAM...problem solved. strange aint it?

make sure there is no air in the coolant lines (coolant leaks could cause that), make sure there are no vacuum leaks and check out the FITV
