Default After throttle body spacer install....surging idle

Hey guys me and my friend just installed my throttle body spacer on my 2000 4cyl accord ex and after the install i'm getting a surging idle from 1000-1500 rpm. I tried resetting the computer but that was no luck. We checked for vacuum leaks and found zero. Any suggestions?

check the idle adjustment screw, also if you unhooked coolant lines, rebleed the cooling system, there could be a chance there is an airpocket messing with the iacv. again, double check for vaccum leaks as well on both sides of the spacer...

Swap out the gasket for an OEM one.

I've heard of this problem a few times before.

check to make sure you didn't knock the vacuum line off of the IACV

Ok guys, we just checked it out again. we didn't disconnect the coolant so that would be fine. Rechecked all vacuum lines and they are fine. We tried adjusting the idle adjustment and that seem to temporary fix it. The best idle i can get is around 800-900 without surging.

800-900 sounds about right...why did you go with a TB spacer?

If the problem comes back, replace the gasket with an OEM one. It's only a few bucks.

Supposedly sounds cool, and improves your gas mileage.

I've got one sitting right in my room waiting to be installed. I'm just too lazy to go get an OEM gasket.

Yeah, i called the dealer up and the TB gaskets are only $2. But they had to order them. No parts store has them around me, they said they are a dealer part. Definitly sounds pretty good, basically i wanted to see if there was a performance difference. So far i have DC Header, AEM SR, AEM Pulleys, and now the throttle body spacer, definitly all those combined added a couple of horses. 2nd gear pulls nice!
