Default axle problem?

I'm having this loud "clunking" noise coming from somewhere up front of the car. I can't pinpoint where it's coming from. As I looked under the car all I saw was this:

In the first pic, you see the lower control arm where it connects to the steering rack. Where the bolt is, there was a bunch of grease and it was flung all around the axle in that area. So tranny side, under side of the tanny mount, etc.

On the second pic, its upside down but in the same situation of the pass mount where the grease is apparent.

Everything else checks out fine. This only happens when i'm below 10 mph and making a turn. So, does this indicate a bad axle?

the weird thing is that it doesn't even looked ripped. Which is why its tripping me out. Is it leaking past the boot then splattering everywhere?

it doesn't "look" ripped, but it certainly is if there's axle grease all over your boot and rim. Axle grease doesn't just pop out of no where. Easiest fix is what Quad-Damage said, just replace the whole axle.
