first of all dpfi only has 2 injectors, and they just spray gas and each cylinder takes what is needed, mpfi has 4 injectors 1 for every cylinder. if you have a 91 si then most you will have mpfi unless they have swapped engines to an hf d15b2 . it should say what it is right on the intake manifold also check how mayny injectors you have. mpfi is better for tuning because you can adjust how much fuel is going into each cylinder since each injector is specifically for that cylinder. but dual piont is also good cause its a carbeaurator and it atomizes the fuel particles better.

HFs were MPFI, it was the DX that was DPFI.

It's not really a carb, and as far as being good... It's arguably better for fuel economy, but an Si can get 45mpg+ and still make more power, so I'm not 100% sold on which is actually better.

If it is DPFI,
Dual-point fuel injection will have a throttle body
with two injectors like this:

If it is MPFI >Multi-port fuel injection looks like this:

The stamp in the red circled area will tell you what engine it is..

MPFI = Muli-port Fuel Injection found int 85 to current CRX/Civic's Si's (88-91 HF models were also MPFI).

DPFI = Dual-Point Fuel Injection found in 88-91 CRX/Civic's DX and Standard models

87 and older CRX/Civic's that were not Si models WERE carburated!!

MPFI has 4 fuel injectors that are at the end of the intake manifold directly at the intake ports.

DPFI has 2 fuel injectors this is similar to TBI (throttle body Injection) you have a primary and a secondary. They atomize

what other questions do you have?

How many people have to chime in here and say the same thing over and over? Did anyone scroll down to see if anyone else answered the topic already?

Is it me, or am I the only one that noticed that "I" didn't single anyone out. hmmm......

So you're going to come into someone elses thread, expletive it all up with whining and complaining, and then want it locked? Let it go.
