It would mess something up, because if a harness meant for the #4 cylinder is on the #3 cylinder, the injection timing will be off.
But I'm not sure if they would be long enough to reach the next cylinder... At least they are not on mine.

If the injectors are dumping when they are not supposed to, I would assume common sense would tell you it would run a little rough, if at all.

but for the most part like on my car (i have the stock fuel hardware on my 2000 si), the wires would only be the correct length for that certain injector and most likely not possible to mix them up?

There again, common sense would say that the harnesses would only be long enough for their respective injectors.
What is the car doing?

i actually dont think it matters, think about when people put dsm injectors in their cars with the resistor box, you take the 8 wires total for the 4 injectors, 4 of the wires go to indiviual wires on the box( doesnt matter which one) and 4 of them go to 1 commom power. thats just my thoughts though

The power source doesnt matter but the signal matters very much so. If you have them mixed up the car shouldnt start (although if you only mix up one set then it might start but run like *** if at all).
Crank
Brown (injector 1)
Red (injector 2)
Blue (injector 3)
Yellow (injector 4)
Flywheel/transmission

yeah i can see that you are correct on that one, i forgot that the power is the only thing that is spliced on that side, that the other for go straight to the ecu

no, nothings wrong with my car, it doesn't act funny. The idea just popped into my head because i did a compression test and i unplugged the injectors. Then that though came to me but yea, nothings wrong with my car.
