JDM D15B TURBO?

Default JDM D15B TURBO?

what is the best setup to go turbo for this motor? what should i do or use? any opinions?

non built motor.... t25 turbo on the stock cx or vx manifold with a adapter plate. CHeapest and easyest way. then just do the fuel and ingition upgrades.

I was boosting 12 psi on my stock D15b. with 180,000 miles alreayd on it.
It held up like a champ!

not sure but i don't think there is a huge difference if any major ones at all.
But yes the usdm d15b.
I say the t25 becuase it bolts right on with no modding needed to the block. a t3 needs modding with certain manifolds

Really its a D15 don't expect alot of out of it. Never thought i would truly say this since i still have the d series, but Swap it then turbo

Jdm d15b is very similar to the z6 and very different then the usdm d15b8.Theres many people on here turboing a jdm d15b just have to find them

thats what i thought. just wanted to make sure thou. but i can't believe the jdm d15b is that different the the usdm. most jdm blocks are't that different

the JDM D15B has a vtec head

and it's not 130HP

it's 130 BHP, rated differently

Well your right its rated differently However the D15B vtec is rated @130PS which is about 127BHP.

It's basically just a Z6, apply the same rules.

Always be clear on if its a JDM D15B (SOHC VTEC) or USDM D15B2, B7 etc (SOHC non-VTEC). Two totally different animals

i used the greddy tdo5 kit on my d15b it held up for 6 months on 12 pounds with little fuel upgrades

do you still have that motor?? or you blew it?? reason why is i have about 190,000 miles on my d16y7 and i was wondering if i can turbo my motor w/that much miles? or will i blow it?

I have a JRSC on my 180k miles D15B7, it doesn't give a **** I guess it's all in your comfort level!

my buddy is running a t25 on his 99 d15b.. he hit 13.5 with just bolting on the turbo kit and a fmu
