Help! I did a H22A swap into my EG and now the speedo isnt working!
I did a H22A swap into my 95 Civic hatch and now the speedometer doesnt work! I'm also having a problem with the passenger side axle coming out of its seal and leaking oil. Ive trying f#cking around with the c-clip but it keeps popping out.
Probably have a bad (VSS) __vehicle speed sensor. That thing that plugs into the tranny... replace that and see what happens. As for the axle, it should not be comeing out if it is the right axle. It shouldnt have any play when held in by the hub. Is the engine/ trans put correctly into the bay, cause you may be off a 1/4 inch bunching up one axle and allowing the other to have some play. Double check evrything. good luck
They were ABC Driveshaft axles for a H22 swap in a EG. I believe the intermediate shaft is from a prelude.
did you forget to plug in the vss (speed sensor)? if not it may be a bad one i got one for sale if you want i am in appleton wi
I checked. Had my friend check. Everything seems plugged in. If I missed it, where does the sensor wire into and where is it located exactly? Btw-How much would you want for the VSS?

Nevermind! I feel like an idiot, the vss wasnt plugged in all the way. I looked in a prelude book to find its exact location. It works now!
Im going to try to use an older axle that originally came with the swap to see if that works. I know Ill have to replace the axles eventually since one is who knows how old and the other binds slightly around corners.
