Re: H22a axle problem
Integra axle with a prelude inner. I have some hasport axles on my swap and I am having binding issues. People say that integra axles with prelude inners are the only way to go.
Question since I have never had to deal with this yet. When the axles pops out, do you have to pull everything apart to put it back into the transmission, or can you just jack up the car and slip it back in?

Re: H22a axle problem
if an axle pops out then there is a problem with the c-clip
replace the c-clip with a honda one and you are good to go
there is no stock axle combination that is short enough for h22 swap axles
when using a hasport mount kit and hasport axles there shouldnt be any binding issues but lets face it these cars are coming up on 20yrs old and every one is different
binding issues are usually due to a length problem. axle length is easy to check on a car. with the car sitting on the ground remove the axle nut and push the end of the axle back into the hub until it stops. flush with the hub is ideal length. the axle can be 1/4" in or out of the hub and still be within spec.

Re: H22a axle problem
Thanks! for the past couple of weeks when the axle comes out I just simply put it back in and add oil to the tranny becuase it leaks once its out of the tranny. So prelude inner joints is the only option as far as oem axles? I am definitely going to try to replace the c-clip and see how it goes. I don't have spare cash to buy Hasport axles or else I would of bought them so I'm just trying to get on the road safely now lol

Re: H22a axle problem
I used a 94 integra axle on the passenger side maybe its a bit longer because mine does not pop out and i have done countless 130 mph pulls on my 4dr ej never had a problem.
