Anybody know how much oil a GSR (b18c1) takes? With filter change? I just did my swap, so I don't have the specs for the oil capacity memorized. THANKS!

 

B18C1/5 - 4.25 quarts
B18B - 4 quarts

 

Taken from Helms:

4.8 liters (5.1 quarts) for engine overhaul
4.0 liters (4.2 quarts) for oil change, including filter
3.7 liters (3.9 quarts) for oil change, without filter

 

how annoying is it that you use 4.25 quarts. I mean, what the hell was honda thinking?

 

You gotta be a dummy to put in 4.2 quarts all the time.

Throw in 3.5 quarts and wait a few minutes. Check oil level on flat surface and add remaining oil needed. If you add 4.2 quarts in every time your BOUND to overfill it. Maybe im just an oil dipstick ****, but thats how i feel about it

Yeah, I think 4 quarts is the general feeling here. I'm gonna do 4 quarts, check the dipstick, then add if neccessary.
