well you are getting ripped if you pay 2600 for a b16

a FULL swap goes for around 1500.....

gsr should be 2600-3000

an obd0 b16 is 1500. an obd1 or 2 is 2250.

knowing what i know now, i would have built a gsr for boost the first time, but i didnt have the money for the gsr at the time. i am goin to try to squeek 600 out of an 84mm b16 with a t3t67 h.o. just for the hell of it. and if it goes, thats my excuse to do a super deck 2 gsr.

GSR is definitely the way to go. Going from driving my friend's boosted B16 to a boosted B18C is like night and day. They both make around the same power, but the torque makes quite a difference. The turbo lag is so much more noticiable on the B16 because of the lack of torque.

Either one will go fast, the B18 is just more fun to daily drive.

it makes sense to me.... torque on the b18 makes the turbo lag less noticeable because the engine has power at low RPM.

back on subject..... the complete changeover is $2250, you only need the motor/tranny, which is $1799 (obd1). obd0 ones are cheap and easy to convert to obd1! but you shouldnt take those, they will run out one day, and the EF guys will be very sad

if you get a gsr (which i have and very highly recommend with boost), find a crashed usdm teg or a us one around local, it can save you some $$$$.
