are those the tiny holes above the injectors?

i'm confused how this works, cause i'm holding it up to my 1998 y5 head and the holes don't match up to anything, yet i'll supposedly get a huge vaccuum leak if i use this intake manifold without plugging the holes.

are these like tiny intake ports for the injectors or something?

 

if your using that intake mani on a 96-98 head you have to jb weld the four little holes above each injector then sand it down to make it smooth, the one in the center does not matter

 

JB weld those 4 tiny holes shut as well as the middle larger one or cap off the nipple at the top. Even though they don't seem to line up with anything, you will have a vacuum leak if you don't.

 

if i were to get a 96-98 intake manifold gasket, would that block them off?

 

Never tried it, but makes sense to me?

It might, but since you don't have it installed, might as well shut the holes up to be on the safe side.

yeah, i'm wondering if i could use some allen headless screws with loctite to plug them off, if not, time to bust out the aluminum mig welder at work
