Default jdm lsd gearbox

hello there.. I've got a chance to get my hands on a jdm lsd gearbox from a bb4 lude for cheap. The only thing is the 5th gear sychro is shot so it doesnt go in reverse. What should i do?
a - Repair the gearbox and then swap it over.. or
b - swap just the lsd over..

I'm thinking (a) will cost me more but easier to do.

what do you guys think?

Thanks

All you have to do is replace the synchro......just take off the gears before it - let all the ***** and springs and **** fly off - and put a new one on........

I dont know if the gears have to be pressed off or not - i wouldn't think so since they are supposed to spin freely..........
