Default Lost Oil Pressure at 1000 ft let off and still went 10.70

I had a feeling it was a matter of time before this happened. But my dumbass changed one thing that wrecked my day. I have a evacuation tube coming from my valve cover to the DP. The tube had so much suction that it would pull oil out of the cover and send it to the DP. I thought if i put a piece of steel wool in the fitting it would stop the amount of oil coming out, well apparently it sucked back into the engine and made me lose oil pressure. I havent seen all the damage yet, but when I took off the valve cover three of the exhaust cam lobes were dark blue. That is the last area to get oil pressure, I hope the bottom end isnt cooked. The plugs look ok, the engine didnt knock or anything.. I am praying that i just ruined a set of bearings and need new cams?? i would rather be lucky right now than anything else..

Note to self: Never put steel wool where it can enter the head.

wound up destroying my oil pump, pieces of the ring gear were laying inthe oil pick up .. as well as a ton of metal shavings in the pan. the oil was non magnetic though,., I spoke with earl lasky and i am sending the motor over to him so he can freshen it up. 83 mm cp pistons and new rings, bearings all over. new cam and etc...

what happened was , i shook the tires bad in third and i feel that amount of shock it sent through the chassis makes me believe it broke the pump. it shook the tires so bad it made me go blury for a sec.it had the ramp speed for the boost builder a little to fast, or maybe a touch to much boost in 3rd.. dunno.. but u was told to get traction bars.. to stop wheel hop, since i have no clue on what suspension to use for powerful fwd. other than the penske remote rezzy.. over a 1 g per pair.. so after this is done, i have already ordered a tilton twin disk for the reliability ( no vibrations) , going to order a fluidamper or ATI damper, dunno which on yet.. and then tractionbars.. dont have much expereice with those yet
