Default bad head gasket on d16a6-what should i replace it with?

i just picked up a 1990 civic ex sedan for 100 dollars in GREAT shape from an older lady, had new tires and a month old exhaust that she showed me reciepts for(plus you can tell they are new). car has high mileage but it started and ran fine for 30 seconds to move out of her driveway to the tow truck-no issues.

i want to just replace the head gasket for now until the spring when i am going to swap in my old motor. i was thinking of using the d16y8 two layer head gasket instead of the a6 head gasket. what do you guys think? suggestions?
thanks

get an autozone/advanced/oreillys/pepboys, etc. gasket for a 92-95 civic EX /Si. its the same metal gasket as the y8 uses and alot cheaper as its not from the dealer

If the car is running fine now, and you are doing a swap in the near future, why do you even want to replace the headgasket? If its the original d16a6 hg, its going to be a graphite/composite gasket that after time sticks to both the head and block--and when you try to pull them apart the gasket rips and leaves a big mess. I would just leave it. Don't fix what isn't broken.
