??cometic head gasket reuseable??

I recently installed a cometic head gasket and it started to leak about 5 min after I started it up. I was wondering if I could take the head off, clean up the gasket and reuse the hg? The gasket has been on for about a week now and I was planning on just getting a new one but decided to see if I could reuse it.
