Default another tranny fluid thread! lol.

ok i have a d16z6 and im flushing out my tranny fluid to replace it with my GM synchromesh, my question is this: how many QUARTS of tranny fluid does the tranny hold, i have 3 quarts of synchromesh and i want to know how much of it to put in

you dont really need to read a book on filling a manual trans. just as long as you fill it on the fill hole and fluid starts to come out, then thats enough fluid.

well i know and use the soncept of filling it untill fluid comes out of the whole, i just wanted to know how many quarts the tranny holds because i didnt know if i had enough synchromesh

******* a where exactly is the hole where i fill it......the drain plug is right by the passengerside axle right....but where is the fill hole?

It's the 17mm bolt to the left of the axle opening, on the passenger side.

It'll take 2qts... pour the 1st one in, then the 2nd, about 90% through the 2nd bottle it'll start overflowing and BAM you're full

me and my friend i have d series he has b series we drain the tranny fluid through drain bolt... bolt it up take out the speed sensor by 10 mm bolt get funnell 2 quarts of honda genuine mtf thats it... weve never had any problems with our trannies

might wanna add a 1/2qt to yours... B series take 2.5
