Today when I popped the hood open I noticed that my K&N cone filter had popped off the intake pipe but b/c of the tight fit there was only a really small gap.

I drive in a city in the praries and there has been days where there was a fair bit of dust blowing around. My best guess as to how long its been popped off would be probably about a week or so.

How screwed is my motor? I am running castrol 5w30 sythetic oil and I don't normally drive my type r that hard.

Boosted guys run all the time with either nothing or just a screen over the turbo inlet.
