is it bad to run just a screen on your turbo instead of a tube with an air filter?
is it bad to run just a screen on your turbo inlet instead of a tube with an air filter for a daily driver? what type of screen should i use? i would use an air filter. but there isnt enough room in between the turbo inlet and the block to fit a coupler for a pipe. let me know how well a screen works. ( i know there was a thread similar to this but i searched and i couldnt come up with it.) thanks in advance

If you dont have room then there isnt really any choice. But i would definitely run one over a screen if i had the chance. We dyno'd a friends car this weekend and it lost power after removing the filter. On my personal setup I lost MPH at the track after removing the filter.

i would try to make a filter fit.
Right now I don't have jackshit on there but I have to find some kind of 2->3" reducer.

theres a lot of people that run without a filter, just a screen. If you got space, run a filter, if you don't run a screen

screen = rocks/sand/dirt getting sucked up into your turbo/engine

True if you live in the north I would run a filter. All the sand and **** on the roads. I run a screen when i go to the track.
