make sure its a MT, not AT ecu. That's on the ecu, but not part of the number you posted.

yes, obd1 p28 = d16z6, sohc vtec
obd2 p28 = d16y8, sohc vtec

Where did you get the P28 ecu from ?
and how much did it cost you?

I have changed my tranny to manual and I'm looking for a p28 manual ecu for my d16y8..

what is your rpm redline now?
and between which rpm's the vtec kicks?
any noticed power?

vtec should come on at 5500rpm
redline should be betweent 7300-7400rpm

u can have the auto one.. the manual one isnt for sale.. this thread was about me buying one...

and vtect kicks in around 5500.. havnt gotten on the car cuz im rebuilding it.. so i never redlined yet

and i didnt notice that it drives better wit this ecu... doest run rich either..

Yes it is. A00, A01, and A02 are manual. A50, A51, and A52 are auto.
