Default Traction Bar ?'s

i have searched around trying to get a definitive answer on a few things about traction bars

1. do they help in cornering traction as well as straight line( does it help autox-ing)
2. is it true that if car gets hit in front... more damage with them( alot)
3. do they put unwaneted strain elsewhere
4. do they change caster automatically... or only have the ability to if wanted

thanks
Marc

Yes, well designed traction bars allow the suspension to operate the way it was designed to. They offer greater control arm stability when compared to the OEM bushings.

Depends on the impact/situation. Geoffs green civic was totalled in a front end collision (non insured driver, their fault ) The traction bars on this car actually prevented more damage than if there where not any bars installed.

Not if installed correctly and the suspesion is adjusted to with in factory spec (caster).

Depends on how much tension is placed on the radius arm. It is highly recommended to align the front end after installation regardless. A traction bar with loose radius rods doesn't do much good.
