Seem to be a pretty good budget rod.

I know Lucitos in Tulsa likes them moreso than Eagles.

I've heard Scat rods are manufactured by eagle. If you look closely Scat and Eagle rod you will see no difference. They also share the same rod bolts (Arp2000). i have used both in friend's turbo projects (300KM) and no complaints at all. I believe they are the same quality, just Eagle is a better brand i believe...

They aren't manufactured by Eagle. The forgings are imported from China by both companies. Crower imports the same forgings for their econo rods as well.

Forgings used and prepared by Scat are better than Eagle, Probe, Crower Econo, Manley, from what I have seen and inspected.

People just have to understand that Scat and Crower size their rods to Honda #-1

This is key to understanding what should be done re bearing and rod journal size.

You are infact correct. They make really good rods and cranks for V8s.

I ran Scat rods in a turbo H22 I built last December and it still runs problem free. I'm not a fan of "budget" rods, but it was either those or stock rods so we used the Scat's.
