Default combo + winter

Posted in Wheels & Tires but it doesn't get much attention there... hopefully someone could give me a hand on this one. Thanks in advance!

Sup guys...
Looking to buy some new rims + tires. Got a 92 civic dx hatch with 13" VX wheels.

I'm looking to get 15" with either 205/50/15 or 195/50/15. Which tire would be better for those tires? Anyone got pics on an EG civic?

Also, how much can I drop the hatch with this setup? Is 2" pushing it? I'm planning on an AGX setup with either coilovers or H&R springs (either sport or race, depending on the tires and rubbing issues).

Also, what's a good width for the tire? I'd like to get the tire as wide as possible without having any rubbing problems. I think the stock one is 5" wide. So I'm thinking either 6, 6.5 or 7". Which width is available the most as far as tires go?

Also, here's the tricky part. I'd like to be able to swap rims/tires during the winter which is no problem really until I do my brake upgrade. I have the 9.x smaller rotors and calipers on the DX. I'd like to swap those for the EX rotors/calipers which are 10.2 or something like that. I know my 15" rim will clear that rotor/caliper but if I want to put the 13" VX wheel back on during the winter, will that clear the EX rotor/caliper?

Thanks everyone! Much appreciated! Post whatever comes to mind when you read this... thanks!

NO 13" will clear the bigger brakes. you gotta run 14s. as for the 15s what kinda driving are you going to be doing? just daily where you dont need an aggressive tire or is it going to be tracked? (straight line or something with turns?) you shouldnt have any rudding issues with either tire size with a 2" drop either

it's a daily driver and might take it to the track once or twice a year at least for another year or two... then it might see more track time but will still be daily driven

i'ver got a 2" or so drop, and i rub 205's on 15's on my hatch in hard turns and quicker than normal speeds. or in hard turns, with the wheel turned lock to lock. but i will be running agx with H&R sports and will let you know if i get there before you. good luck.

so you're rubbing on stock shocks/springs? that's understandable... i was looking into rubbing issues with a stiffer suspension such as what you're going for--agx with H&R sports... i'm planning on getting that same setup.. either that or agx with coilovers

will a 15x7 rim rub in fender or anywhere else on turns? i'd like to get wider tires.. i'm thinking either 6, 6.5 or 7. Probably will go with 6 or 6.5... what's a good offset for either one? so i have 5 inch right now with a 45offset... so if i get 7 inch, do i subtract that from the offset so the wheel is centered? e.g. 2"=25.4mm... so 45-25.4/2 so 32.3.. i would also like to push the wheel a little outward so i'm thinking for a 7inch wide, 205/50/15 tire a 35mm offset would be good.. is my reasoning correct here?

thanks guys!
