TRANSMISSION HELP PLEASE
OK, i just bought a new trans d15 5speed for my d16y7, i had a new clutch so i left that in i didnt mess with that at all..i just finished today. the car starts up good and everything, i have trans fuild in it and clutch fluid i double checked...but for some reason its when i hear it going into gear that clicking noise the car doesnt move..it just reeves up...i tried putting it in all gears without using the clutch it only grinds in 5th and reverse when i push in clutch it doesnt ...i have no ideal whats wrrong i know the trans is good cause got it from a car that drove ...anyone have any ideal what could be the problem why the car wont go?

first thing, STOP shifting your gears.
get a friend, and check the clutch valve cylinder(in front of tranny) while your friend is pushing on the clutch. take off the rubber peice that surrounds it and see if its actually pushing the throwout bearing into the pressure plate. anf if the bearing is even in place.
next, the little thing the clutch pushes against, called the fork, see if its stable, and if its locked with the circular bal inside the trannyl. theres wire-like springs behind the fork that is used to lock onto the ball.
i had the same problem, forgot to lock this fork in place, causing it to press at an angle, not letting me go into gear. i had to take the whole tranny off again. man that was a bitch.
