I put the car into reverse and backed up 20 feet then I heard a clunk. I have no forward gears or reverse gears including park. The transmission isn't connected to the half shafts some how. When I put it into any gear the engine revs up along with the spedometer up to about 15 MPH. And I can hear something grinding like the transmission is barley touching the splines on the axles. I put the car in neutal with the engine off and pushed it backwards and every revolution at the same point it would clunk and jerk for a second then just keep going. Could one of the half shafts came out or something? If anyone could help me it would be great.

 

thats what it sounds to me ,,u got issue with at least 1 axle,,,.lift car up and spin the wheel and look at the axle shaft ,the one that is not rotating is ur problem.....if they both ok , u could have dome some damage to the differential

 

Yeah that sounds like a good idea to me it's 3 am here so I gotta wait till tomorrow thanx
