Default BC3'S + 12:1 c/r

I'm looking into raising the c/r on my b16a2 to about 12:1 and run BC3's. I will be getting the cams, valvesprings, and retainers shortly. I'm still in between IM'S for the time being because I'm doing this all as technical as I can and I haven't found dyno sheet's for every one yet. What I need to know is besides Wiseco, who makes high comp pistons for b16's and which intake manifold makes the most power for the money. The setup is going to be mated to an ITR tranny with the 4.785 FD. Should be fun

since you are getting springs and retainers, why not get the bc4 where the b16 will probably be going anyways rpm wise

check out importbuilders.com cause the last time i was on there they had a variety of high comp pistons. since ur running a high comp why not get some rocket m22's or jun 3 they will work great for that setup

Unless you have a reason to get things finished super fast, save a little more money and do it right. That compression and a motor that likes to rev high, I would go with BC4's or M22's

No doubt, for a b16 to be quick I would highly suggest raising the rev limiter to at least 9k. If you did that, I would do S2S2's which you can find cheap used. The BC3+ is gonna fall off around 7,5-7,800, your motor is gonna wanna go WAY past that. For IM choices I would look at the BLOX or AEBS. I hate the way the AEBS looks, but they are cheap. Good luck man!

I used to have the stage2's in my b16a, they were nice, but you really had to rev the motor to make power, The buddy club 3+ are a nice drop in street cam for a mild motor, I would suggest a set of pro1's or rockets m22's. The pro1's in my 11.6 to 1 b16a are great, alot more low and midrange that the stage 2's and better top end

I'm getting the "no BC3" vibe here. I'm trying to keep the cams/valvetrain under 700. I agree with b16's loving to rev high, but what's a good cam aside from s2's proseries that makes good power low and mid, and of course top end?

Lets start here, do you have the ability to rev higher than stock rev-limit?

bc3 is a good cam if ur not going to rev past 8k. acual specs are 250 duration at .050 with .450 lift i believe on the intake and exhaust is 255 with .465 lift.....i will double check that though....either of those choices is a good.. Good luck

My setup so far is an ITR header and 2.5 piping into a dynomax muffler
