Mase sent me a new timing map for the fall national race this weekend and
I only got second place in my class. I want my money back.
But seriously I think my thermostat is stuck closed. Last night after driving home I pulled into my driveway and noticed that I was leaking some coolant from the over flow tank. The tank was filled to the top and the lower rad hose feels like it is empty. The rad was filled to the top though. My temp gauge did not go above normal and the car seemed fine. I am going to drain the system tonight and pull the thermostat, but I just wanted to see what kind or thermostat you guys are running and what temp?
Let me know thanks.

Im sure autozone would be fine but the OEM one will last longer.
Make sure the one you buy has a little hole in it with that little thing inside. Know what im talking about?; So the air wont get trapped.

I just had this same problem with my car the other day. Usually it overheats on the highway and this day it didnt. got home and noticed this - Poured the overflow tank back into the rad and it seems to be normal since... ?
Yeah its wierd. I have not had an issue with it for the past 2.5 years. Raced all weekend even had a bunch of back to back runs and not one problem. Then yesterday after I got home, I saw i was leaking something, poped the hood and saw the overflow tank was filled. So I am just assuming the theromostat finally took a dump and is stuck closed. Not sure why it did not get hot or overheat.

Not...
Dumbass
If it were the headgasket the overflow tank would most likely be empty or milky.
