Default Simple green

So I bought my trans a couple of day ago and it pretty dirty, it's got like baked on greese. So I did what I could do went to the local store and bought some simple green and when at it with a wire brush. After well continues scrubing for about 3 hours I got most of it off, but im still not satisfied is there anything i can do to clean it better.
By the way my method was take a wet rag ring it out on top of the trans, take my wire brush (size of a tooth brush) scrub and wipe, then rise.
It works but you can still see like a shadow of dirt.
I remeber this was like brought up before but I can't seem to find it.
Should I just take my pressure washer to it and see what I can do?
Please leave input?

I would use that or Castrol Super Clean. Let them soak in for a while, then scrub.

Which brand in degreeser?
I want to remind you that it also has alot of dirt on it like sand almost, would the degreeser still work as effectivly as simple green.
And if i used castrol super clean how would i soak my trans in it.

simple green is mild compared to most heavy duty degreasers. If its an aluminum case its posible you could get some spotting on it, but its a transmission so.

All the degreasers are pretty much the same. They come in an aerosol can, and will say engine clean or engine degreaser or something to that effect and it will be in with the brake cleaner and carb cleaners. The Castrol comes in a windex type bottle and will be in with the waxes and cleaners probably.

Just spray on, scrub, wait, scrub, wait, rinse and repeat.
