Engine cleaner?
i need to clean up my engine. it looks like **** lol. it doesnt really have any grease/grime on it, just a bunch of oxidation. what can i use to clean it up a little bit without having to take the engine out to do a full detail? just like a wire brush?

Re: Engine cleaner?
Take 2 large trash bags. Cover your intake, fuse box and battery.
1. Soak the whole bay with some water.
2. Spray simple green or any cleaner/any cleaner that gets grease off.
3. Let the simple green sit for a couple of mins.
4. Scrub everything, respray the really dirty parts with more simple green.
5.If you have a power washer use it, other wise you can go to a DIY car wash and use that. OR if you have one of those garden hose sprayers that have a "jet" stream thing use that.

Re: Engine cleaner?
Just clean one spot at a time. Just because you cover up your fuse box, battery, and intake, doesnt mean your engine is now water proof. I found this out the hard way...
