Yeah mine does this. The engine slows way down but then catches itself almost? Your idle should be about 700rpms + or - 50. As long as it comes up to 700 or so and stays your fine.

I'm thinking your IACV may still not be 100% I've never had luck with cleaning them. My idle is pretty solid at 700, except for when the A/C or cooling fan kicks on.

I would check to see if your idle is stable. Do the stuff according to the Helms and maybe you need to adjust the screw on the throttle body. But your idle concerns seem normal. Just check it out and make sure the IAC is within working parameters.

yup mines does that. Its not a issue. I hit the throttle and then it'll go to 700rpm before idling at 800RPM

mine drops after i sit 30secs to a minute at a red light with brake pedal pressed

it drops to about 500 for about 2 seconds then goes back up...what you guys think?

btw, my major idle problems improved when i did my valve adjustment and cleaned the grounds

now it does it only as specified and that's after i've driven the car for about 15-20 minutes.. could it be from the radiator fan? why does it do that though? is it to help coolant recirculation? is it possible to not drop the idle when the radiator fan kicks in? if possible i'd like to make it run smooth and if i need it cooler, i'd put a different radiator and a different thermostat
