My friend just got his turbo installed and the car runs very rich with the AFC set at
-50 all the way.I know that a lot of people use the DSM injectors but couldn't figure out the problem with his setup. your help is appreciated a lot guys.

The setup:
d16y8 stock internals
T3 @ 5 psi,external wastegate, intercooler, 2" downpipe and exhaust
the hack ( AFC+resistor+DSM 450s)

 

Have you tried using an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

 

no FPR, I think there is no need for it

 

With a FPR you can turn the fuel down so the car doesn't run so rich with the afc. We've been using them for a while until we went to Turboedit on our cars.

 

how do you know your running rich? do you have a wideband hooked up?

anyway, an adjustable fpr would prolly help out.

on a side note, your buddy can sell his afc and run uberdata for free. use the money from the afc to get tuned.

 

there is no wideband hooked but you can see the black smoke and the car stutters. The guy is not in the US and nobody knows about uberdata where he lives

 

check ur in/out, it should be in 6 out 6
