Default Went to the track yesterday

i had a super shitty day...first time at the track and first time ever running with slicks and a good clutch
first run i was barely moving off the line and rolled out with a 3.1 60ft and managed a whopping 15.7@97 mph
fixed a few things then went back for a 14.5@100 mph with a 2.7 60ft
worked on a few tihngs again and went back to back times of 14.1@102 mph with a 2.5 60ft
next run i broke the axle right inside of the tranny so i got fucked but managed to place 3rd in sport compact power adders due to other cars ******* up

setup is
d16z6 in a 90 ef hatch full interior with jack etc...obd1
chipped p28
td05h...hf manifold
tial bov
2.5 charge pipes and dp
everytihng else stock

also running 14 psi of boost....

1st gear burnouts suck

what and how are you launching at? what are your tire pressure set at? running 14psi you should be haulin ***..first timer though so practice practice..2nd gear burnouts are the best

my first launch was a 1000 rpm launch lol because i wasnt ready at all then i tried the 2 step and it was set too low at 4400 so i still bogged

then at 5500 it was good but i donno

tire pressure was about 15 psi and yeah i wish i would have been able to get a full pass with a 2nd gear burnout

Use the waterbox for a second gear burnout, try lowering the slick pressure a couple pounds and launch at 6000-6500rpm. I did this on my first try with my 22x8x13 slicks and cut a 1.86 60'. No broken axel yet either. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1390865

Yeah the wheel hop might be from bogging on the launch. Normally slicks don't wheel hop bad like street tires though.

Do the burnout in 2nd gear and as Ryan said step in the water and get the slicks wet...then do the burnout(2nd gear)..
And drop the clutch close to the rev limit..or launch at 6000rpms.

I'm running 15 psi from t3/t4 50trim on a OEM internaled d16! I made the mistake of running that much boost on some crappy falken Ziex passenger tire and managed a 14.4... Then ran a 14 flat @ 10psi. it was stupid...
