After I installed my short shifter, my tranny is making this sliding noise. It only happens when I am at high rpm and let off the gas, but when I push in my clutch, the problem goes away.
Now, after doing research, I found out it could be my t/o bearing, or input shaft bearing. I just don't know if it's all coincidence that my bearings are going bad a little after I installed my SS, or if I did something wrong when I installed it.
For the sake of my Transmission, any and all inputs are helpful. Please Help!
Thanks!

yours SS couldnt have cused that big of a problem its just lets you shift quicker. you need to probaly replace the T/O bearing.
awhile back there was a thread about someone asking what ss to buy. and i poste- about how there not all that good for your tranny, usually over time though. everybody got pissed and started talking smack. probably sounds like a point proven
