!!!!VX Motor Boggs Out AND TURNS OFF !!!! HELP!!
i got a stock vx 92 hb and when i first baught it bogged alil when i push the gas and the car used to jerk .... but it stopped for a while and i had the car sitting for a couple months and then when i came home to start it it worked fine then it start bogging out and just shutting offf ..... it threw some codes up .... o2 sensor which costs over 400 dolllars b.c its a rare engine with 5 wire o2 ... and intake manifold temp sensor .... i really dont think its any of those i heard someone say it could be throttole positioning sensor ..... anyone with a vx motor have this problem????????
i replaced the air intake temperature sensor by the way and nothing really happened and changed the oil ..... and thermostate ...
i just replaced the cat like 3 months previously ... cost me 500 bux and i disconnected the midpipe and it still did it .... freakin weird dude
it would be cheaper to get a new ECU ~$200 and get a 4 wire o2 ~50
if i were you, i'd get a ECU for the motor that you might wanna swap in the future.. like a d16z6 or something so get a P28 with 4 wire O2.... then chip and put a VX map on the P28...
then when you get a z6 vtec you don't have to buy a new ECU so you're set..
it's a little bit more involved but you save money and you gather new toys in the process for future swaps/upgrades
