Default should i just disregard a/f readings from a stock 02?

hey i know this is a dumb question but:

my a/f reading on my turbo timer (ran from stock 4wrire o2) are usually between 11.5-14 when driving, but then when i in (any gear) and let off the throttle and just lett eh gear wind itself down it will go to 20 (which is the max) but as soon as i touch the gas again it will go back to the normal range.

I know the stock o2 has such a limited output voltage its nearly uselss but i was wdonering if this sort of thing is normal?

If you think about it when you let off the gas you have only pure air going through your engine and not an fuel air ratio so its VERY normal for the O2 sensor to read lean. This is erroneous though because the stock narrow band sensor tells you nothing about the critcal "load" A/F ratio. When you have little or no load on the engine it's almost impossible to do harm to it unless the ignitio is f'ed up
