Default Valvetrain for B16 revving to 9K.

What exactly do I need to rev to 9K on my 81.5mm B16? CP Pistons (9:1)/Manley Rods/stock sleeves. Shooting for 400+ on a bandwagon SC61

What about valves? Needed or not? I mean Jeff took my friends stock GSR to 9k on the dyno...but that was going by the stock tach too...

you can do it with stock valves. I've been to 9500 with skunk2 springs, retainers, and stock valves.

When I did my headwork I went ahead and upgraded to skunk high compressor valves to get the CR that I wanted.

9k isnt all that high so stock valves are ok, just a spring retainer combo and your set. b16's are rev happy motors.
