Default 92 accord problem

my friends car will not start in the heat of the day, but it will crank right up at night/cooler weather. what is the problem, what part is bad??? thanks!

There is no knock sensor in his car. It's your main relay, ill bet my left nut. Its in the dash, left of the steering wheel. its a $50 part you can change it yourself, buy a manual they help a lot.

If your friends car is not starting in the heat of the day its gonna be you main relay and sorry to say you can't just get it from any autoparts store. It's a dealership item. It cost me $70. I also don't recommend getting one from the junkyard unless you going to get for testing purposes. You are much better off getting a new one...

when car does not start. remove the tube going to the throttle body, spray some carb cleaner in there , if car starts up . remove the main relay and inspect for cracked solderings ,,if you see any , resolder them ,, no need to spend money on a new relay ,,you do however need a soldering iron
