Default Anyone ever had a Rotary type (99-00 D16y7, 3 wire) IACV go bad on them?

EDIT:I NEED one of these ASAP! Either just the sensor itself or I'll buy the whole D16y7 TB. LMK. Thanks.

I have a 99' Sedan w/ the stock D16y7 in it. It has a y8 mani w/ the linear type IACV port blocked off so, that (like it came from the factory) it may utilize the 3 wire Rotary type IACV. The ECU is throwing a p0505 code (IAC malfunction) and it has a surging idle causing it to fail inspection. I've checked thew wiring, cleaned the valve as good as I can and even checked the ECU plug to make sure someone didn't attempt the 2 wire swap unsucessfully. If anyone has had one of these fail please let me know as I am stumped. Thanks

Phil

I would check the wiring again get a mulitmeter (DMM), and then try another throttle body, if you still cant find it swap to manual and do the 2 wire valve

Yeah, the wiring has been checked(a few times) in different areas to ensure good connection. I am in the process of finding a D16y7 TB w/ the 3 wire IACV on it to test but, if that doesn't work. I'll have to switch to the 2 wire. Only prob is I'll have to do a complete y8 head swap and use the Y8 ecu(cause the y7 ECU doesn't support the 2 wire IACV) which I'm trying to steer clear of having to do.

I noticed after I cleaned it (I've only cleaned it once) that it did oscilate much easier. What did you use to clean it?
