Default I have 6 CEL Codes!!! Possible they were never cleared?

Ok here's the rundown. I purchsed this car about a month ago. It runs great. Now yesterday I got a check engine light while cruising to work. I pulled over and turned the ignition off and back on...CEL was gone. So I thought OK I'll check it before I come home from work. Didn't come on the rest of the day. Now today on my way to work the same thing happened. So I pulled over...shut it off and started it up again...CEL was gone. Then it happened on the way home...**The car never feels any different once the CEL comes on**. Anyway I check the code when I got home and I have 6!!!

1 O2A - Oxygen sensor #1
3 MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor
8 TDC - top dead centre sensor
9 CYP - cylinder sensor
15 Ignition output signal --my idle is low (car feels like its going to die sometimes...but never does) and kinda fluctuates slightly when stopped
43 Fuel supply system

Heres the set-up:

92 Civic Si Hatchback
2000 USDM B16A
OBD-1 p28 (original ECU)
Hondata

***Is it possible that some of the codes are old and were just never cleared? Because I don't have a constant CEL or anything. I think the one I'm getting currently might be the O2 sensor...

reset the ecu and drive it til the cel comes on again, then find out. It seems like the car would run like **** if it had all those codes.

you can pull the power wire off the battery and wait 30 secs (or turn on headlights til they go out), then reconnect it and you're reset. Hondata will be fine, but you'll lose radio presets. You can do it by pulling 2 fuses too (so radio presets will be fine) but I can't remeber which ones off the top of my head.

pull out for few seconds the ecu fuse ( the second one on the right , on the first row in the fuse box )

then run the car again and check what codes are still there and fix the car

Ok heres an update...I reset the ECU and now my car wont start. I'm getting a code 15 which is Ignition Output Signal. Is my distributor bad? I have 2 spare ignitor chips and 2 spare coils...if this helps me fix it...

resetting the ecu shouldn't keep the car from starting. its probably something in the dizzy. since you have the spare parts handy, start replacing and see what works.

i had this SAME problem ... check the wire from the ECU to the dizzy, check the power to the ICM, check the coil, the cap. My problem was that i had a wire that was loose and honda reconnected it. but i also threw a code 20 which was my ELD and the main relay fixed that, but id check all the stuff by the distributor. just make sure there is spark too ... because your probably not getting that. But like i said check to make sure there is power to everything and the connections are good.

just a thought... also im assuming your car is turning over?

I'm almost POSITIVE your'e right...because I can squeeze the wires that go to the distributor plug and the car will die...so I think it's a faulty connection...I'm gonna go try now

let me kno if that fixed it because all honda did was look for the code, and then find the source and they said it was a faulty connection between the ECU and dizzy

code 43 means too rich or too lean, which could be caused by wrong ecu, or need a valve adjsutment or need a new o2 sensor in addition to thet other problems mentioned.

90% of the time, 43 comes from the o2.
