CEL Codes
Can anyone send me a list of ecu codes for an OBD1 P28 Ecu? D16Z6 engine has just been rewired after someone else's butcher job and need to troubleshoot using the codes. Also need to know where to activate the code data output so I can read them with the CEL
Thanks
Thanks

Re: CEL Codes (Leisyman)
CEL? Are you refering to the MIL codes?
if so, above the ecu there is a green rubber thingy. (kinda technical eh?)
there may be one or two plugs inside of it... (one will have 2 wires, the other 3)
get the one with the two wires and jump them together with a piece of wire,
turn the key over and it will flash your check engine light....
long flash = 10
short = 1
1 Oxygen Sensor "A" (Primary)

Re: CEL Codes (96exb20)
Thanks to everyone who provided info. found the troubles, i.e.MAP sensor and VSS, now just have to figure out what is causing it.
MAP should be fairly simple, but.....
There is no wire in the dash harness I can find which will wire to the ecu for the VSS. Speedo needle jumps around wildly under acceleration.
Any ideas?

Re: CEL Codes (Leisyman)
ALL CLEAR!
Thanks to everyone for the help!. No codes, engine runs great!. Now I have to find a cat convertor, as someone cut out the cat and put in a glasspack. Can't pass Colorado emissions visual inspection without a cat.
anyone have one they want to part with?
Junkyards can't sell them for legal reasons

just go to an exhaust shop and have them weld an aftermarket one on...
should not be a problem...
